Mollie Woodworth Promoted to Director of Student Retention

Mollie Woodworth has been promoted to the position of Director of Student Retention for Career Quest Learning Center, based in Lansing, Michigan. Woodworth has been with Career Quest for five years, working in a variety of positions including student services.

Woodworth has 11 years of experience working in alternative education, on both the administrative and teaching side. This new role was created for her, with the goal of helping instructors and students work together better. “Our instructors are great and really care about our students,” she said. “I’m here to give them even more tools and resources to utilize in the classroom to better help our students.”

Before joining Career Quest, she worked for alternative high school Baker Pathways, teaching life skills to high risk youth. She says that’s where she learned of the importance of offering students alternative paths to success.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in social science from Ashford University. When she’s not working with students, she enjoys camping, traveling and playing music with her husband and three children.

“I am a completely different person than when I started my program. I have so much more confidence now. I really think I can do anything if I put my mind to it. Before I started here, I wasn’t very happy with my life. Now I’m smiling all the time.”

“Don’t be afraid. They have thought of everything in this school to make it so that you succeed."
