Career Quest Learning Center Hosting Two Free Career Fairs in October

Career Quest Learning Center (CQLC) is hosting a career fair at its Jackson campus (209 E. Washington Ave. Suite 241), on Wednesday, October 12 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Among the employers participating are Excel Staffing Company, University of Michigan Health System, Henry Ford Allegiance Health, Lifeways Community Mental Health and John Ganton’s Countryside Retirement Community. Those interested in attending should call 517-990-9921 to RSVP.

CQLC will also be hosting a free career fair at its Lansing campus (3215 S. Pennsylvania Ave.), on Tuesday, October 18 from noon to 4:00 p.m. There will be employers on hand to talk about available positions in business, technology, healthcare and the legal field. Those interested in attending should contact Career Quest Lansing at (517) 318-3330.

Both events are open to the public, as well as Career Quest students – past, present and future.

“We always have such great participation in our career fairs,” said CQLC Lansing Campus President Melissa Soderberg. “Employers appreciate being able to meet with so many candidates in one sitting, and our community benefits by being able to talk to multiple employers at once. It’s great seeing people get hired on the spot!”

Since 1995, Career Quest Learning Centers has implemented its mission to change lives by putting people to work in their chosen field through technical and personal skills training.  Career Quest provides quality education and training with the equipment and technology found in the current workplace. “Before Career Quest, I had a job but I just wasn’t going anywhere. I was scared but I decided to give it a shot.  Now I’m the Secretary of the Student Council and ready to graduate!”

“I was very computer illiterate until I came here. By the end of the first week of my externship, I had letters of recommendation waiting for me."
