Todd Ashworth has been named Campus Manager for the Career Quest Learning Center location in Jackson. In his new position, he is responsible for day-to-day operations within all departments: education, admissions, career services, student services, financial aid and facilities. He’ll also develop and maintain relationships within the Jackson community.
“Growing up in the Jackson area, I have a deep love and appreciation for the community and the people who make up this community,” said Ashworth. “I am excited to help people in Jackson and the greater Jackson area to achieve their goals and dreams through higher education.”
Ashworth has worked in education since earning his BA in social studies and education from Spring Arbor University in 1999. He has been an instructor for Career Quest since 2014, teaching College Concepts and Introduction to Technology. Before that, he worked as a life growth coach, helping his clients with goal setting, planning and implementation. He has also served in various roles in middle and elementary schools in Michigan, as well as being a supervisor/facilitator for Cristo Rey Community Center in Lansing.
In addition to his bachelor’s degree, Ashworth has earned certification in the following areas: Michigan Elementary Professional K-5, Social Science RX Endorsement 6-8, Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention, Red Cross Community CPR & First Aid.
He has coached a variety of sports (football, basketball, volleyball, and track & field) for more than 20 years. He has also has served, helping the homeless and less fortunate at soup kitchens and shelters. “Giving back and helping others has always been very important to me,” said Ashworth.
