July Students of the Month

Amanda Van Dyke has only been a Medical Assistant student at Career Quest for a short time, but she has already made a big impact with our staff and students, which is why she has been named Jackson’s Student of the Month for July. She stays after class and comes in on her days off to help tutor her classmates. As a member of Student Association, she has helped raise money for the upcoming Relay for Life. “She is professional while on campus and always has a smile on her face,” said Campus Manager Elizabeth Kirchmeier. “Amanda is a role model for other students as well as her family. We’re all very impressed with her.”

Ophthalmic student, Betty Drumheller has been named July’s Student of the Month for Lansing. Her instructors say she’s always prompt and prepared when coming to class and oftentimes her assignments are completed well before they’re due and the work is always of high quality. “Betty has embraced being a leader within the classroom. She continuously steps up to help others, even students who are not in her class,” said Campus Manager Mollie Woodworth. “She can be observed assisting students in the media center, along with helping students find other resources.”

Medical Assistant student Beth Petrimoulx is the definition of a team player, which is why she has been named Bay City’s Student of the Month! As a student who catches on quickly, she is consistently helping other students during and outside class. “It’s not uncommon to catch her after class tutoring multiple classmates to ensure they’re catching up on work and understanding the material,” said Campus Manager Cassie Ferrer. “Beth was also recently elected to be the Treasurer of Student Association, proving that others are noticing her hard work as well.”

Mt. Pleasant Student of the Month Colleen Hansen has persevered through every obstacle she encountered and now she’s only a few short months away from completing her Medical Assistant program. “Her helpful attitude and willingness to learn has been rubbing off on fellow students,” said Campus Manager Shelby Dalgleish. “Colleen is an amazing example to students, past and present, of what hard work and dedication can accomplish.”
