August Students of the Month

August Students of the Month

Medical Assistant Student Amanda Rodriguez has been named Jackson’s August Student of the Month for working 60 hours a week at her day job, still coming to class regularly, and completing all assignments before they’re due. AND she regularly helps her classmates understand the material, all while maintaining a positive attitude. “Amanda is very engaged on campus, and she communicates with her peers and CQ staff very well,” said Campus Manager Elizabeth Kirchmeier. “She’s an independent student who challenges herself and has put her entire young adult life on hold, so she can be fully committed to accomplishing her goals.”

Lansing’s August Student of the Month Fearby Minor, who is part of our Administrative Office program, continuously excels in her coursework and brings a wealth of knowledge into the classroom. “Her tenacity to never give up is infectious to everyone she meets. And Fearby is willing to help in any way she can, whether it be for her fellow classmates or the Student Association,” said Campus Manager Mollie Woodworth. “She’s the first person to volunteer her time to give back to others who might need assistance, all while staying focused and determined to prove her point that, ‘if I can do it, anyone can.’”

Congratulations to Bay City Student of the Month, Heather Gallaty. One of our evening Medical Assistant students, you can definitely tell when she arrives on campus. “Her candid, comical presence brings a smile to everyone’s face,” shared Campus Manager Cassie Ferrer. “But it’s not all jokes and laughter – Heather jumps in to help other students if they’re lost and she always comes to class early to get a head start on assignments.” We’re confident that Heather’s can-do attitude will help her be a success here at Career Quest and beyond.

“Hardworking” and “dedicated” are only two of the words that come to mind when it comes to Mt. Pleasant’s August Student of the Month Jennifer Goodwin, who is studying medical assisting. “She is frequently on campus on her days off and stays after her scheduled class times to work on homework or study,” said Campus Manager Shelby Dalgleish. “She also volunteers to help fellow students who may be having a difficult time.” Jennifer recently took on the role of treasurer for Student Association and we have no doubt she will succeed!
