And the Winner of our New Year's Career Resolutions Contest Is…

Career Quest Learning Centers New Years Contest Winner

Hailey Baird is our contest winner!

We asked the entire Career Quest community for their New Year’s Career Resolutions. And we got some great responses. Although Hailey Baird from our Lansing campus was our randomly selected winner, we want to thank all of you for taking the time to really consider what 2019 will hold for you. We’re happy you shared your plans with us and we’re proud to be a part of your future.

Hailey’s winning resolution “is to graduate from the Ophthalmic assistant program with straight As.” She also wrote that she’s “so happy and glad to be attending Career Quest.”

Later, she let us know that she’s “definitely looking forward to accomplishing my career resolutions in 2019. I have already recently been hired and haven’t even completed my externship yet!”

And she believes that “Career Quest is helping me achieve these goals by providing me with the essential knowledge and skills that I need for the work force. This helps me stay one step above the rest!”

Hailey, we’re glad you’re part of the Career Quest family and congratulations on winning the $100 gift card. Treat yourself!

And for all those of you who participated in our contest, thanks!

Some of you told us you wanted to master the basics of your career and improve upon skills you already have. Many of you told us you wanted to do well in school, receive good grades, make the president’s list, graduate from your program, pass your certification exam, find a job in your field, maybe even come back to Career Quest Learning Centers for an Associate degree. Wow! You have great aspirations. One student let us know that she simply wanted to “put my best foot forward each and every day.” One step at a time is a great way to go.

While some of you got more personal about your challenges, hopes, and goals:

“Last year was a tough one for me on many levels. I want to box it up and put it away and never think about it again” and when I go back, I want “to be the best student I can be and be an inspiration to others.”

And many of you reminded us that you’re here for your children:

“My New Year’s Resolution for 2019 is to show my three girls how to become women. I have stepped up as a younger mother that went back to school and was able to get a job in Doctor’s office before I graduated from my courses. I want to start the New Year off with the positivity that I can pass my State exam along with getting all the experience I can to move to a bigger office with more pay. I’m humble to say that I love where I'm at in life at the end of 2018 but as I move into 2019, I want to thank Ashley at CQ for helping me to achieve and believe that I can have more for myself in 2019 and years to come!! A better life in 2019 ❤”

“My son is the most important person in my life. He makes me work harder than I ever have to make sure he lives a comfortable and loving life. Showing him how if you truly love what you do, you can do anything. No matter how big or little the obstacles are. Alongside with making him proud, I know I am also making my mother proud.”

And so many of you let us know that you love Career Quest and our team:

“I have had a lot of fun at Career Quest with my classmates and teachers and I'm excited for the next mod and to have new students in our class.”

“Career Quest was one of the best decisions towards success that I have made in 2018. It will only get better from here. I will continue to push myself to make a better life for my family.”

You also reminded us that you have the determination to succeed:

“Were there days I wanted to quit? Yes. But I didn’t. I pushed through every time I came home to my son, mother and boyfriend. Having some awesome classmates and instructors also kept me focused more.”

And that you have goals in sight:

“I want to better myself in every way, whether that be physically, financially, emotionally, mentally, and academically.”

“to accomplish…walking across the graduation stage. This will show everyone that I care about and that have been there to support me that I made it.”

“to get into a good successful career with positive and inspirational people that I can grow and learn from.”

At Career Quest Learning Centers, we believe in your potential, your aspirations, and your dreams. You’re amazing and we hope 2019 is your best year ever! If you’re not already a student, take a look at all the programs we offer. Maybe it’s time you plan for a better future.

“They personally know you and I think that’s the difference between a community college and Career Quest.”

“This program is good because it’s daily, it doesn’t give you time for slack. There is also lots of hands-on help, you’re not just left to do it all on your own. I was in college before and it just didn’t work out. Career Quest worked for me.”
