The Career Quest Learning Centers (CQLC) Bay City campus hosted a ceremony for its first graduating class of 27 certified medical assistant students, on Friday, May 24. The keynote speaker was Medical Instructor Valaree Johnson, who helped open the campus and has taught every student participating in the ceremony.
“Seeing our students come together to celebrate their accomplishments is an amazing thing, but particularly when you consider how very far they’ve come,” Johnson shared. “Too many people go through their lives never realizing their potential and never following any of their dreams. This group of graduates took the necessary steps to live their lives with purpose, knowing they could go further. They should all be very proud.”
Johnson was joined by student speaker Bethany Visser, a graduate of the medical assistant program.
“It was very exciting to see our first group of graduates come together to celebrate this major accomplishment,” said Bay City Campus Manager Cassie Ferrer. “I was equally excited for the Bay City staff to get to experience the pride of seeing students they’ve worked with, through struggles and triumphs, walk across the stage in their caps and gowns.”
