October Students of the Month

Bay City campus is not currently accepting new enrollments.

Lansing: Most of our associate program students are past graduates of Career Quest’s diploma programs, but Geraldine Marquez has come to us all the way from California. Her husband has been in the military for the past 17 years. She went to school in California to be a medical assistant but was unable to secure employment after graduation because her husband was transferred. Luckily for us, he was stationed in Michigan and Geraldine decided to further her education and go for her associate degree at Career Quest. “Geraldine is a pleasure to have in a classroom, intelligent, dedicated and thoughtful,” shared Lansing Campus President Mollie Woodworth. “We have no doubt she’s working hard towards her dreams and goals, and we cannot wait to see all that she achieves.” Congrats, Geraldine!

Jackson: Amanda Auge is a Child Care Assistant student who is a true example for other students. She is dedicated to her studies, ensuring she is always prepared for class.  During lab hours she spends much of her time interacting with the students in the preschool classroom. “She goes above and beyond planning activities and jumping in wherever she is needed,” said Jackson Campus President Doreen Kellum. “During classroom discussions or group work she is always involved with her peers and supports them as they complete their classroom work.” Keep up the GREAT WORK Amanda! Your Career Quest Community is so proud of you.

Mt. Pleasant: Jack Roberts is currently a student in our Business Administration program and takes his studies very seriously. He is always prompt and professional when on campus. His instructor commented that Jack always promotes grouping, he has proper etiquette and always has respect in the classroom. “Jack has completed more than half of his program and it has always been a pleasure to have him on campus and to watch his collaboration in the classroom,” said Campus President Shelby Dalgleish. Students like Jack who come into a program and take it by storm are what makes Career Quests students simply the best. Congratulations, Jack!

Bay City: Janessa Alvarez is one of Bay City’s first Business Administration students and she exemplifies what it takes to be successful in her program. “Even with three little ones and a newborn at home, Janessa works hard to be here for class, get all of her work done, and help others whenever needed,” said Bay City Campus President Cassie Ferrer. “She’s a devoted member of Student Association and was nominated to take on the role of Vice President during her first mod here.” Janessa dedicates time to every campus event and Student Association meeting, as well as encouraging new students to join. Janessa is the epitome of what you would like to see from all students: punctual, involved and committed.

“I am a completely different person than when I started my program. I have so much more confidence now. I really think I can do anything if I put my mind to it. Before I started here, I wasn’t very happy with my life. Now I’m smiling all the time.”

“The students coming out of Career Quest have been prepared for what they should expect coming into the real world."
