Anatomy, physiology, medical terminology and phlebotomy- these are the things Diana F. enjoyed learning about most during her Medical Assistant program at Career Quest Learning Centers. Previously on externship at Sterling Area health center, Diana recently graduated and landed a full time position there doing what she loves. She says her favorite part about her educational experience has been learning with her peers. “I’ve really enjoyed learning with men and women of all ages, helping each other accomplish our goals to graduate,” she says.
Diana helps with childcare for her grandchildren, so she says online learning has been a big help. “Online has been a benefit to me because I can do it in the comfort of my home, or when I’m babysitting or working. I can access my instructor via email, phone, or even online in [Microsoft] teams.” With future dreams of obtaining her Residential Nurses license (RN), Diana’s advice for anyone looking to enter the field of healthcare is to help people and be proud of the work you put out. “If you enjoy helping and caring for people and take pride in it, I encourage you to become a Medical Assistant,” she says. Career Quest cannot wait to see all of the wonderful things you will accomplish, Diana! Keep chasing your dreams.
