About Our Online Healthcare Programs
Working in a modern medical setting–whether it be a hospital, clinic, or doctor’s office–is almost always a fast-paced environment. Patients need help to feel their best, and they expect a quality medical staff to get the job done.
Of course, doctors can’t deliver this alone. They need a strong support team to keep all patients happy and healthy–and that’s where you may come in.
Our online healthcare programs are designed to prepare students for the modern day-to-day challenges and tasks in this field. By teaching a blend of hands-on technical tasks and interpersonal skills, you’ll be ready to get to work.
Our programs include:
- Online Medical Assistant
- Online Medical Office Administration (AAS Degree Program)
- Online Medical Billing & Coding
- Online Ophthalmic Assistant
We also offer an in-person Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program. This is a hands-on program that requires students to be on campus for clinical training.
Hone Your Skills with Industry-Recognized Certifications
Throughout your time at Career Quest, you may qualify for useful certifications that will show your future employer you’re thoroughly trained in the healthcare field. Some of the certifications you may qualify for throughout your studies include:
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS)
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
- Certified Electrocardiogram Technician (CET)
Certain Healthcare Programs Offer Further Certifications
At the end of your healthcare program, certain fields—like the medical assistant program—offer additional certifications that can be earned. While some certifications like the Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) are not offered, Career Quest represents the first steps towards such an advanced certification.
Further certifications include:
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
Real-World Experience Through Externships
Our healthcare programs allow students like yourself to gain real-world work experience before graduating through externship availability. This opportunity can help you make professional connections, put your skills to the test, and looks great on a resume.

Online Schooling: A Popular Choice Among Students
It’s estimated that more than six million students made the decision to continue their education by enrolling in online classes. Of these six million students, 36 percent are considered “industry switchers,” or students who already have professional experience but are switching from one career field to another.1
Access to Hands-On Help
Just because you’re earning your degree or certification online doesn’t mean you won’t have hands-on help with your studies. As a student entering the medical field, a lot of what you’ll be doing in your new career will involve hands-on treatments while assisting physicians.
To ensure you’re able to perform key tasks, such as blood draws, you may be asked to visit either our Lansing, Jackson, or Mt. Pleasant campus locations every other month. This way, you can practice clinical procedures under the supervision of our industry-experienced instructors.
